High heels with a wizard's robe is a bold look for a gnome. He may not be in full armour, but he has my respect regardless.

You had x3 & x4 by default? I've never had more than a x2 option. To go faster I've always pasted a bit of code into the browser console. (See alt text if you're interested.)

Absolutely! People imagine bio labs are pristine, but working labs are often cluttered. Lots of sticky notes, bottles, overflowing shelves. These images are usually closer to reality than typical lab stock images. Hygiene still matters though so don't forget laminar flow hoods & nitrile gloves.

Like instead of commanding the weather to mourn, Dracula commands the weather to "purge [his] sorrow". Similar, but different enough to change the vibe of the scene.

A fragment of organic glass discovered at Herculaneum. It represents the only known case of a human brain (or any animal tissue) being preserved by volcanic vitrification. The figure (right) shows electron micrographs of a sample which include preserved axons!

Some people like to say there is no such thing as a perfect movie.
They are wrong.

Nice! "On Guard" definitely fits the story.

One variation I saw is captioned "we is brothers". Fun to see that catspeak apparently goes back to 1902. If it were in colour & the caption were in Impact font it'd be indistinguishable from a lolcat from 2007.

On metals which are liquid at room temperature, there are also a range of eutectic metal alloys some of which have very low melting points. Na-K-Cs alloys can have impressively low melting points, evidently going as low as 195.2 K (-78 °C).

Horses do have whiskers! Unfortunately, some people cut them for aesthetic reasons, but many equestrian societies have started to ban the practice.

Okay, I do see the elephant, but at first I saw a ghostly figure reclining comfortably on the x-axis, perhaps welcoming you to the seat next to them.

Most pages uses a C clef on the top blue (or black?) stave but I found a page (fol. [6]v) with an F clef on the red stave, where the colours also appear in a different order with green & red on top rather than in the middle. This pattern of colours is used only for the part with an F clef.

Sculpted in 1961 by David Wynne, this statue depicts London Zoo's Guy the Gorilla who resided there between 1947–1978. 🦍 The statue is made from fossiliferous marble, though I don't know how old. Perhaps Carboniferous? Perhaps it contains crinoid microfossils...
