I don't have statistics more recent than this, but I suspect the situation is still similar now, and it can probably safely be extrapolated meaning that thousands of the 7000+ government services aren't digital accessible to the minimum required standards.

Twenty four of the ‘Top 75’ government services failed to meet basic accessibility standards in Q1 2024.

I'm not far off that now.

I assumed that was ages. Will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I’m 64.

Of course the baby in that version would now be about 75 years old.

Haven’t seen it but the Steve Martin remake was good. See also Father of the Bride which had two versions with Steve Martin in the 2nd.

Might be someone called Urian who happens to be epic.

Strikingly beautiful. Seeing the image in my peripheral vision while reading the text made me think of a close up of piano keys.

Can’t see it on Bluesky.

Is that an AI hallucination? The lyric is actually "Daisy, Daisy, give me you answer do" - I guess there may be different variants of the song.

It may be just a matter of time with empathy, given that the use of AI (rightly or wrongly) in caring, counselling and therapy scenarios will likely expand.

If you want to confuse a digital interaction designer today remind them that radio buttons in cars were mostly rectangular www.globalnerdy.com/wp-content/u...

@lubes.bsky.social great handle. Anything that links music with computing in a punlike way appeals to me.

Overheard in a coffee shop, someone asking for 1.5 shots instead of the usual 2 or 1. Feels like sitting on the fence to me, and I didn’t see what they did with the spare 0.5 shot.

One example I did was to use the data from a live government petition and show the breakdown of numbers starting with my own constituency (the data is already broken down just not displayed from the main petitions website. 31steps.co.uk

I’ve found it good for creating quick prototypes. Not worried about losing skills as I was never really a programmer / coder, developer, always just tinkering. I would rather use AI for code than to replace my writing or comprehension skills.
