Can’t stop, won’t stop when it comes to protecting #votingrights: Along with @nativerights.bsky.social & @aclu-mt.bsky.social, we’re challenging Chouteau County’s unfair method for electing commissioners, which deprives Native voters the opportunity to elect a candidate of their choice.
NEW: We're suing to challenge the unfair system for electing commissioners in Chouteau County, Montana.
Under the current at-large system, everyone in the county votes for all 3 commissioners, instead of voting by district. This leaves Native voters unable to elect a candidate of their choice.

Montana’s Constitution was built by teachers, farmers, students, and neighbors, not politicians. It gave us strong rights to privacy, safety, and a clean environment. Now it’s our turn to defend and build on what they started.

Indigenous students have a right to wear tribal regalia at graduation ceremonies. Montana even has a specific statute (MCA 2-1-315) protecting the wearing of tribal regalia. Be sure to know your rights before donning your cap and gown this graduation season 🪶
