An Ohio judge blocked several Ohio laws mandating a 24-hour waiting period for abortions because they violated Ohio's Reproductive Freedom Amendment.

Multiple things competing for my time kept me from testifying in person today on SB 55. But, I was able to submit written testimony. SB 55 is a positive bill from Sen. Manning(R) to help modernize Ohio's DUI/OVI laws re: cannabis. This change is long overdue & much needed. 1/7

The lead sponsors of HB 36 confirmed that the nitrogen gas death penalty bill will be amended to include firing squad as a method of execution.

A proponent hearing is scheduled for 11am today.

The Ohio General Assembly has until tomorrow (9/30) to produce a bipartisan, U.S. Congressional map. After that, the responsibility falls to the Ohio Redistricting Commission.
