In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

I think this holiday season we need to blackout the economy. My family and friends will be doing homemade gifts, thrifted, or gifts shopped from local businesses. I urge everyone to do the same. #nokings #blackoutthesystem
