The reason I always thought of why the "universally evil fantasy races" thing is stupid: think of the variety of personalities in, like, housecats. The idea that a group of people, even a fantasy race, having less breadth of personality than housecats is somehow more "realistic" is farcical.

Very hard to both not see anything happening ever while at the same time monitoring your son's porn usage, I agree. Poor baby should probably resign so he can focus on the latter.

I took a class on this subject, and it's just fascinating how much of the fits-and-starts nature of the progress on women's rights has been because wealthier white women will join the cause when they're inconvenienced and then nope out of the movement as soon as their pet issue is resolved.

(Granted, @michaelswaim.bsky.social's character—who was kind of a horndog in those early episodes—brought that idea up exclusively in the context of having sex with anyone and everyone, but that's obviously not the only choice available).

There was an episode of Cracked After Hours about this very idea. Asteroid is the best apocalypse because it's basically a bucket list timer: get as much as you can done before the end.

I had assumed that given I was only hearing about Lizza in the context of Nuzzi, that it was some sort of weird moniker for her: oLIviA nuZZi or some nonsense like that.
