Billionaires are willing to sacrifice anyone whose net worth is less than a billion dollars. They want to inherit the planet, but not with poor people on it.

(Yes, of course there are a few good billionaires, but most are in self preservation mode.)

Not only is it a tax cut for the rich, it's a public service cut for the poor (£12bn tax revenue loss).

Badenoch's stamp duty election bribe will do nothing to stimulate the housing market at the lower end. All it will do is make it easier for the landlord class to expand their portfolios.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but given that first-time buyers pay zero stamp duty on houses under a particular value, doesn't abolishing stamp duty amount to a tax cut for the rich?

No business has yet proven productivity gains from using AI. Many are acknowledging lost hours due to workers messing about on AI or having to finesse AI generated output.

It'll level off 2045-2050 then rise again. We actually have a lot of space on the planet. Human engineering can adapt spaces if there is a necessity.

There's nothing he could have done to sink the City, but that's not what the article was about. They were relaxed because hi spending, and therefore running up deficits wouldn't be kept in check by the bond market. And inflation would handle any money printing.
