Our latest report shows the positive impacts of every $1 billion shifted from highways to transit and identifies key policy levers to shift transportation investments away from highway spending.

And here's a fun fact: Council Member @paige-ellis.bsky.social also shares a birthday with Chris Riley.

So appropriate given how much DNA Paige's forward-thinking transportation / land use policies share with Chris's!
adamgreenfield.bsky.social
This past Saturday marked 61 years since the birth of Chris Riley.

Chris played a pivotal role in Austin for so long, both on City Council and as an urbanist elder statesman inspiring the next generation.

I think of Chris often and miss him deeply. He'll be long remembered. Happy Birthday Chris!

Optics matter. TxDOT staff need to see a lot of people tomorrow supporting better walking and bicycling across Texas. This is a big step forward for the agency.

Hope to see YOU there! 🫵

Berlin could be creating a car-free zone larger than Manhattan.

This is the kind of big thinking that every city should have going on. Austin is considering a bond in 2026 - it should be chock full of BIG ideas.
