I also don’t buy her likability as a strictly sexist issue either given our current mass disgust with Trump berating literally anyone, Kash Patel yelling at senators, and Miller practically hissing at reporters. Average people don’t like or trust *anyone* who just seems like a huge asshole.

Also unfortunately CA is a jungle primary state, so Porter can’t just coast to the governorship by squeaking out a win against the other Dems then getting party support in the general. She needs to *actually* be likable to voters, and nothing about her reputation suggests party confidence for 2026.
