Picked up this book, ‘The Emotion Thesaurus’ the other day. It looks like a great resource! Has anyone else used this for writing a novel? #amwriting #writesky

I belong to a critique circle and we all have stories that will be published in the same anthology, and they require headshots for media. So we got together today to take photos. It was fun pretending to be pro photographers! I’ll post a couple of my shots as soon as I look through them.

I’m currently working on a scene for my novel Node Zero which is pretty difficult for me to write, because I want to describe a lot of things in a big reveal, but when I tried to write it, I realized it’s boring. Rewrote it with the description in background, and plot in the foreground. Much better!

So, my sci-fi short story Doctor Transmogrify made the shortlist for the upcoming Anthology ‘Out of the Woods’ and will be published around June 2025. It’s a start!

Sci-fi books and books about writing that I read this year, 2024. Did you read any of these? What did you think of them?

I’m also working on Node Zero a sci-fi thriller novel. I’m 3/4 done, at 65k words.

Okay here’s my introductory post! I’m Adam, an aspiring sci-fi writer. I’ve written a couple short stories that have made the long list for an upcoming anthology called Out Of The Woods, which will be judged by award-winning author Emma Donoghue. The short list comes out December 15.
