Multiple power conference teams are expected to be involved."

Here at the OceanFirst Bank Center, Monmouth and Princeton are about to play their annual game. I'm on the scene for Guarden State.

Just want anyone who talks in absolutes about "the media" to know it's not reporters and news editors who say crazy divisive stuff like this, it's ex-athletes trying to game the attention economy with ragebait. Consume it or don't, but don't target actual journalists over it.

Taylor Charles gets her first career start at Princeton, in for Tall.

Princeton men and women are playing in Mercer County simultaneously. Men are in Trenton to face St. Joe's. I'm at Jadwin to check out the women vs. DePaul. Stay tuned to see if the Tigers get their fourth power-conference win of the month.

Not even Players Era understands Players Era's schedule. Time is a mere construct in Vegas.

Catching a few women's games this week, starting with FDU at Rutgers here in Piscataway in about an hour.

FDU is unanimous pick to repeat in the NEC and Rutgers has already taken a loss to Stony Brook.

Hello from Jadwin Gym for the first time in a long time.

Princeton entertains Bucknell for its home opener here at 7. Stay tuned for an in-game thread.

Just switched over to the Princeton WBB game, saw this. 😬 college teams around the country must be going through similar nightmares these days.

Run baby run, don't ever look back...

Checking out another all-New Jersey affair this afternoon for Guarden State. FDU and Saint Peter's about 20 minutes away from tipoff. One team will walk out of here with its first W of the year.

We are going to have to discuss these four stat lines at some point though

The views from Piscataway...

It's Rider, it's Rutgers, it's my fifth season covering college hoops around my home state. More grateful than ever to be here. Stay tuned for tipoff at 6!

Monmouth's first starting lineup of the season includes freshmen Anthony Martinez from France and Stefanos Spartalis from Greece.

This is at the under-four timeout of the first half of Seton Hall vs. Saint Peter's.

I love a good spreadsheet, so I made some rudimentary but hopefully helpful info cards for Princeton, Monmouth, Rider, Saint Peter's, NJIT and FDU. It's a quick glance at what each team is working with this year, with extra notes and nuggets on several key players.

Had this screengrab saved on an old hard drive from my Jets blogging days. Nick Mangold was such a character and it is awful he is gone so soon. Rest in peace.

I've had it with content creators doing this weekly bit, "The AP Poll is awful," "The AP Poll needs to go." The irony is people will say journalists chase clicks and then put out the most clickbaity video titles as their offering on the topic.

When you bring back the Player of the Year and near-DPOY in Amarri Monroe, you end up No. 1 in the coaches poll. I had the same top 6 teams for Lindy's, ordered Siena-Manhattan-Marist-QU-Sacred Heart-Iona. That's the MAAC's clear top tier, if anything is "clear" this time of year.
