Georgia Tech: 12 turnovers
Monmouth: 3 turnovers

Jack Collins lines up a three to give Monmouth a 42-39 lead in Atlanta 👀👀👀

On further review, at No. 138 Georgia Tech is the lowest-rated Power 5 team on KenPom, the only one behind Rutgers.

I wish it weren't real but Zach Braziller at the NY Post asked Rick Pitino about it and Pitino told him St. John's was approached by Dubai organizers (and declined their interest)

It's the Hawks' first win over Princeton since Thanksgiving Eve 2021, the first Monmouth game I covered.

Monmouth's 5-4. Princeton's 3-8. Trajectories in opposing directions.

Huge layup by Cornelius Robinson to beat the shot clock and make it 60-55.

Jackson Hicke then steps up with a three for Princeton, but now Monmouth's at the line with 30 seconds left.

The U-4 comes at 3:16, and we're headed for a close finish with Monmouth ahead 57-53 on Princeton.

Hawks led by nine and have frankly been the better team, but Happy has scored five straight. He's up to 20 points, game high.

U-8: Monmouth 51, Princeton 46.

The Hawks aren't pulling away just yet but Jason Rivera-Torres has made a few more clutch shots in a row, an off-balance jumper and a turnaround floater. He's up to 15 points against this younger Princeton core.

Two years ago Princeton averaged 8.2 turnovers per game, second-best in the country.

These Tigers aren't those Tigers. 17 turnovers and counting, many of them needless mistakes made by a young group.

The good: CJ Happy hits his third three to give Princeton the lead at 39-37, its first since 5-4.

The bad: Happy picks up his fourth foul on the next Monmouth trip. He subs out.

Wild start to the second half as Mitch Henderson calls timeout nine seconds in.

Landon Clark slips and falls to the floor while dribbling, Monmouth takes it the other way. Furious, Mitch tells them to wipe up the spot. "Tim, what is this?" He asks one ref.

Princeton takeaway... This would look a lot more one-sided if Stanton didn't bury a three in the final minute, or if Happy missed one of his two earlier on. Nine turnovers (Monmouth turned into 12 points) and the bench hasn't contributed much at all.
December 4, 2025 at 2:11 AM
HALF: Monmouth 31, Princeton 27.

Monmouth takeaways... Jason Rivera-Torres leads them with nine points, he's got the highest usage rate right now and yet it somehow feels like he hasn't been involved enough. His ability to drive or shoot makes him a weapon

U-4: Monmouth 26, Princeton 19.

Tigers had tied it at 16 and were within 20-19 but the Hawks answered with six in a row on some really nice plays. Great pass down the middle from Rivera-Torres to hit Robinson under the basket. Robinson didn't start but now up to 6 pts, 3 reb.

Monmouth leads 16-11 at the under-12. Five turnovers for Princeton already. It's mostly been the Rivera-Torres and Ray show on offense.
December 4, 2025 at 1:43 AM
Princeton's first subs include freshman Jake Sussberg, who's played just 53 minutes this season. Tigers' depth is really getting tested with a few injuries.

Tigers call time as Rivera-Torres' three pushes Monmouth to a 13-6 lead.
December 4, 2025 at 1:39 AM
Monmouth starters: Jason Rivera-Torres, Andrew Ball, Justin Ray, Jack Collins, Stefanos Spartalis.
