I always forget how bad it is until I go to watch a video on my phone instead of my desktop and suddenly it’s unskippable ads every five minutes.

It reads like she has more concern for wrongful arrest of U.S. citizens than murder of non-citizens. Like, her issue isn’t w/ ordering troops into U.S. cities, it’s w/ arresting the “wrong” people. She doesn’t think extrajudicial murder of foreigners is wrong per se, so she doesn’t see a case there.

You’re not wrong. Too many are looking at what’s really a demonstration of Trump having no principles at all, and saying “oh look he can be reasoned with! Mandami/Trump 2028!”

Sometimes I think that’s why leftists fight amongst ourselves so fiercely. Maybe the minor “wins” we score against each other are a substitute for the rush/rage/release we miss by not treating politics like sports. Maybe online leftism would be less divisive if we all took up skydiving or something.

Example (integer overflow number out of bounds) of why entryism is garbage. Like, I get that ppl want quick feel-good “wins” when things hurt right now, but the only way things actually change is generational effort and education with no guarantee of short-term “victory speech” dopamine bursts.

Like, it was good to demonstrate how wrong and feckless most Dems have been, by showing how quickly Trump shows his belly when confronted by someone he can’t cow or enrage. But no policies were changed, nothing was actually won, and yet too many folks are like “Alexa play L’Internationale!”

Squall had to learn to be more emotionally open like his dad.
