Forgot to actually tag the streamer I got the game from: @avrysatos.bsky.social. Her streams are always really fun, and well worth giving a follow. (These days I work during her usual stream time, so haven't been able to watch recently. That's the case, unfortunately, w/ a lot of channels I like.)
One game I'm planning on streaming soon is "Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice." I won it in a give-away from a fellow streamer a while back, and never got a chance to play it. I'm pretty unspoiled; it will be my very first play-through, and I think that might be fun to do live on stream!

[Streaming] Reducing output settings fixed my issues! I didn't realize OBS was outputting such a high resolution/bitrate. It's not necessary for the kind of streaming I do. 720p's more than sufficient! A quick test stream showed solid output w/ minimal lagging. I'm all set to stream regularly again!

Why am I so against generative AI in games?
Because I simply do not want my initial reaction to art to be one of suspicion and scrutiny, AI slop is fundamentally damaging my relationship to art and artistry, and I am deeply resentful that it is forcing me to be guarded when I should be wowed.

This short thread by @chanda.blacksky.app is very much worth a read, especially in light of learning once again that high-status political and academic men (eg Larry Summers) can be dangerous pigs and that it’s a constant professional BURDEN to women in the same field, especially women of color. ⬇️
