To my ever growing circle of trans and nonbinary friends who welcomed me as a man and embraced me as a woman, I would have never realized how normal we are on the inside when we're surrounded by people who accept us on the outside. Thank you so much for helping me learn to be myself, every single one of you.
To my friends who confided in me about their own transitions, even the ones I've lost touch with, thank you so much for trusting me. Thank you for understanding my own confusion, especially in the 2010s when so much of this was new to me. And thank you for your patience as I broke out of my comfort zone to learn more about these experiences throughout all these years.
Abby, you get your own paragraph. You're my best friend, and I feel so connected to you through the trauma we've bonded over and the laughter we've shared to overcome it. I've met so many amazing friends through you, and your willingness to share your experiences with me has helped in more ways than you'll ever know. I can only hope to match your patience and grace in return. I love kicking it with you, gamer.
And finally, to my full-body-tracking kit, thank you for making the soul-crushing weight of dysphoria even more apparent to me in VRChat.

Those upcoming SlimeVR Butterfly Trackers look sick. I've got Vive Ultimates for VRChat but the Slimes might be neat for VTubing since they don't require line of sight, and they'll finally have dedicated dongles instead of connecting via WiFi (my router is far away so current gen isn't an option)

If you need more, go to Profile > User Settings > Online License Settings, then set to On

Would be real swell if Bluesky had officially integrated pronoun displays so we don't have to worry about third party creators deleting or abusing labels after subscribing to them

Son's birthday is tomorrow, little get-together today. I live in the south and I haven't come out to my extended family, but if it means not having to see "family" like my brother in-law again, maybe it's worth the up front stress. About to kick him out of the house and it's only been 10 minutes

I riffed a 6 7 joke in front of my kids and their immediate response was to tell me it's not popular anymore, with my youngest adding that it was "only popular in 2025" so I did the hand gesture and said "what about 2020-6 and 2020-7" and I've never seen them clear the room so fast

Gender affirming therapy has been an eye opening plus for my mental health, but confronting so many aspects of myself and their relation to literally every other facet of my life leaves me feeling so drained by the end of it
