Mouhamadou Fall is latest athlete to join the Enhanced Games. They’re hoovering up those sprinters already serving doping bans. Makes sense for the athletes (since their career is pretty much over and already tarnished), but if they were already doping, what’s exciting about seeing them run doped?

Wednesday’s run …
I’ve been back running in the mountains around Chamonix the last few days with Tom Payn and a wonderful bunch of runners on a Way of the Runner retreat. We’ve had stonking sun and stonking rain - all the fun of the fair. Today we run the final section of the UTMB.

It was a pleasure to run 12 miles with the legend Dan Lawson as he attempts to break the record for the 630-mile south-west coast path. By the end of day 2 he had reached Brixham 151 miles in. He was tired but chugging along at a strong pace and chatting happily. God speed. He has a long way to go.

I've just handed in the first draft of my Ireland book. Phew.

Great run by Fiona Pascall to finish fifth at Western States 100 yesterday - flying the flag for the UK. After her sister won it in 2021, that's quite the sister act! Fiona was only 10 minutes slower than Beth's winning time, too.
