I feel the BBC heads resigning yesterday over a relatively small mistake only weakens trust in the BBC. I really can't see why they did it. Now Trump has his "proof" that they're fake news and he will tell everyone about it endlessly. Like he has never slightly edited anything disingenuously!

Great to see this ... go Ultra Women!
The book that many publishers said people wouldn't read because it was about women and ultra endurance has just been shortlisted for Sports Book of the Year. Yes, @emmajourno.bsky.social and I are feeling smug this morning. Just shows how good women are at persisting against patriarchal nonsense...

Mouhamadou Fall is latest athlete to join the Enhanced Games. They’re hoovering up those sprinters already serving doping bans. Makes sense for the athletes (since their career is pretty much over and already tarnished), but if they were already doping, what’s exciting about seeing them run doped?

Laz just said 100 loops was the "4-minute mile of backyard ultras".
I reckon that makes 24 loops the 3-hr marathon of backyard ultras.
Not sure what it makes my record of 12 loops?

Meanwhile, the Big Dog Backyard ultra guys have just completed 400 miles, and still lots of them looking determined to keep going until the end of days. Utter madness.

I could also have started this post with "If you're often left screaming ..."
If you're left leaning and haven't really considered the Green party before, there's some serious momentum behind them right now. They could actually make a difference. I became a member about a year ago.
