Not so long ago, Jenrick would have been sacked by now. His comments were racially selective and many will say racist, failed to mention other parts of white majority Britain and he further stigmatised ethnic communities. But in these times he’s still being talked about as a next leader.

And a fitting memorial to the soldiers of WW1, of all colours and faiths.

Handsworth Cemetery. Beautifully diverse. And the stunning mortuary chapel.

Drove to Handsworth today to my mother’s grave. One minute in and saw a number of white people. I want my country back!!!!
Soho Road Handsworth, passers by. Four white people. Adil has placed heart emojis to cover their faces and protect their identity.

This is Brownhills, where Jenrick was speaking from. About the lack of integration. www.expressandstar.com/news/local-h...

He spoke at the Aldridge/Brownhills conservative club. An association that back in the 80's, when my husband played snooker, I was not allowed in to accompany him as it was against the house rules to admit women. I'm glad Andy Street stood up for the people of Hands worth.

Jenrick was speaking from Aldridge, Brownhills an area that has upto 90% of white British residents. This makes it less mixed than the UK average and therefore little chance of social integration because of low diversity. But Jenrick didn’t see that. Is that racist?

Jenrick says, Handsworth the area I went to school in isn’t integrated as he didn’t see a white face and the closest he has seen to a slum? So is he saying we should pay minorities much more for their low paid jobs and welcome them to The Cotswolds with their mosques and temples???

As people of colour we are constantly asked to call out issues in our community. And most of the time, rightly so. It makes us stronger. A middle aged white man makes a rounded and critical observation of some in his own community (white men) and he’s vilified by some. Why?

@zackpolanski.bsky.social : "I think its really problematic if someone is trying to weaponise the attack that happened yesterday to try and silence protest in this country against the genocide. They're separate issues.. we need to be clear what this govt is doing"

Thoughts with our Jewish brothers and sisters, following the awful stabbing incident in Manchester. Sending love, strength and solidarity to the entire community at this time ❤️

If the media and politicians continually discriminate against Muslims, people of colour and women, why are we surprised that some police officers wont be influenced by that? A former PM once likened Muslim women to bank robbers, and we have heard the worst language about migrants since Enoch Powell.

Mail Online appears to have chosen not to run the allegations and clear evidence of racism, misogyny and violence in the Met Police on their main page.

The Panorama doc was disturbing. Many women, migrants, Muslims and all decent people will be wondering if the culture in the Met police is a reflection of wider society - a microcosm. A culture that has failed to accept diverse change & holds on to prejudiced power structures. Is it just the police?

Can someone ask Farage or Zia Yusuf why, if they're so concerned about incitement to violence, they had Lucy Connolly as a guest star at their conference?
