The incredible Round Reading Room at the British Library. Designed by Sydney Smirke and opened in 1857, the room features a massive dome supported by a cast-iron frame. It was inspired by the Pantheon in Rome.

Literally the best TV I have seen this year. Finished S2 last night. Gutted there’s no more. Am not a huge Minnie Driver fan but she was brilliant as QEI 👑

Someone has added a M&S Gingerbread House Biscuit jar to the model village in Brockwell Park. The model village was created in 1949 by retired engineer Edgar Wilson although most of it was moved to Vauxhall Park in the 1950s. I wonder if the new addition sought planning permission? 🍪

George IV’s beautiful Coronation surcoat from 1821 which is on display at the British Museum at the moment. The robe serves as an interesting comparison to the stunning cloaks worn by the Hawaiian Royalty which were made from tiny feathers 🌺

On Thursday we attended the opening of Under Our Skin, the new art exhibition at Brixton Library for LGBTQ+ History month curated by Xavier White. The event was well attended and I feel like I need to go back for a more close up look at so many queer art works 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Clare and I were commissioned by Lambeth Council’s LGBTQ+ Staff Forum to deliver a new Queer History walk yesterday around Brixton. We were impressed with the group who braved the freezing rain, pictured here at the Bowie Mural. Happy LGBTQ+ History Month everyone 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Got to see Luke Smile’s latest Brixton art work last night … the shutter for new restaurant Whole Beast. Hear the restaurant is very good and can’t wait to try. My friend Scott had to get in on the action too 😊

Breakfast meeting with Nicholas yesterday at the beautiful Park Hyatt London River Thames. Stunning views from the 17th Floor even on a grey day. Mad to think this is all on the site of the old Market Tavern nightclub 🍳
