A new Mileikowsky has dropped. This one embodies the full "Open your eyes, sheeple!" energy of the genre.

You can say what you like about his actual name but at least this Assadist clown knows how to pronounce it.

You know where to find it if you care.

I'm begging journalists (especially subeditors) to learn the difference between "prescribed" and "proscribed".

The exceptions to granting bail, from schedule 1 Bail Act 1976. I'm sure you're familiar with them.

"Horse."

"Again?"

From the official website of the German armed forces (Bundeswehr):

"Obedience and the performance of duty are important military virtues, but they have their limits. These virtues no longer apply if they would result in violation of key values of the Basic Law."

The @britishlibrary.bsky.social has got a new website.

It claims to be fully compliant with the accessibility regulations (per WCAG 2.2 AA).

This is what happens when I try to print their accessibility statement making that claim. None of the site is printable.

Yes, we absolutely do think that those defendants should be entitled to a jury trial. The answer is so obvious that the question should not even be asked.

This is just a privileged narrative from someone who thinks they'll never be rightly or wrongly accused of a crime.

The first modern law to restrict immigration to the UK was the Aliens Act 1905. This was a response to the wave of Jewish refugees fleeing murderous attacks and discrimination in Russia. Winston Churchill considered this law so racist that he defected from the governing Tories to the Liberals.

Of course you remember the murderous antisemitic attack on the synagogue. You just don't think it matters.

And that's because your own timeline is full of antisemitism, eg the coded antisemitism that Israel (aka "the Jews") control the UK government/politicians and others.

This vignette is from the autobiography of the film director Lewis Gilbert (1920-2018). His grandmother Annie was a Russian-Jewish refugee who he says spoke Yiddish and almost no English. It's a beautiful example of the connection between generations, languages and cultures. London, around 1927:
