I never finished BG3 and have been tempted to go back quite a lot, but now after all this Larian stuff is coming out I probably won’t. There’s too much coming out and I have a big of a backlog. Maybe years later because at least most of the actual devs seemed like cool people unlike their leadership

Long winded PR babble just to say they’re using genAI lol. If it’s being used this early it will be very hard to patch out upon release. Larian’s fans will still excuse this shit from what I’ve been seeing but what happens when the game is an ugly AI mess and has the same performance issues BG3 had?

Part of the issue is the very term AI has been widened out broadly and infinitely so now we're playing this language crapshoot, during which people can either be mistaken, use the wrong term, not fully understand the term they're using, or just lie. It's a fucking mess.
ngl, outside of the clip that got popularised by Gene Park, the next paragraph sounds like it's a more algorithmic asset placement tool (referencing trees, paths etc) than genAI
