And Howl’s Moving Castle includes subtext that would become the foundation for The Wind Rises’ plot:

That talented people can and have been forced by their governments into doing things they’re good at for the purposes of hurting and even killing others.

This was also a very cathartic film, strangely enough. In spite of the bottom line these characters are aware of, namely that only one can win while everyone else dies, they still bond, mourn for each other, & try when they can to find beauty in their terrible situation to stay sane.

That got me.

I will commend Greg Nicotero for giving the mask 13 holes.

That was a cute touch.

Was thinking about Jason’s new mask.

I don’t hate it, but it feels less like a hockey mask (or at least an approximation of one) & more like a parody of Jason’s mask.

The lack of holes & the angular shape just makes it look off.

Now, something more like Larry Lozinski’s mask? That could be cool.

I think Womp Stomp’s Ghost Jason was a better example of taking something old and familiar, and giving it some slight tweaks to give it its own flavor.

(Plus it helps that Vincente DiSanti was built like a brick wall.)

It’s essentially a dark parody of the death and return of Superman.

And I love it

Just bought and read the Super Creepshow Special.

The first story is great, and my favorite of the three in this. It poses the question:

“What if an alien superheroes’ body, like Superman’s, after their death decomposed in a way that was apocalyptic for Earth?”

Welcome to the Top 12.

Holy shit, that was excellent.

Shockingly beautiful at times, too.

Rumor has it that Franklin gave Doom a new face during his appearance in the post credits scene of First Steps, and that face happens to be Tony’s.

Which could open the door for Secret Wars to give him his original face when he gains the powers of The Beyonder.

Again, allegedly.

Considering the factors of the protagonists being Yautja and an Android and that most of the opponents appear to also be non-human, I can accept this.

I’m a little hesitant, but I think I get it.

'Predator: Badlands' will be PG-13

• Will still be as violent as possible

• There's no human red blood

• First mainline Predator film to not be Rated-R

Wait a second.

The last song they put out was Matrix themed.

This new one is the Joker.

…my God.

I know what their new album is based on!

Dropped today! My cover for the new SMILE series from @idwpublishing.com

So excited to be a small part of this & to see the franchise take on new life from the amazing @hannahrosemay.bsky.social, Miriana Puglia, @dearbhlala.bsky.social & @heatherantos.bsky.social 🩸

Look for it FEBRUARY 2026
Cover for “SMILE: For the Camera” featuring a woman’s face on a black background. Her eyes are wide, mascara running down her cheeks. And in her hand, a pair of bloodied sewing scissors. Within their reflection, the unsettling SMILE.
