Elsinore has arrived!

Tales of Elsinore, the sequel to Princess of the Pomegranate Moon, is out now!

A trans sorceress in a dying earth, Elsinore is adrift, encountering demons, necromancers, and painfully familiar people in her search for belonging.

Book cover of Tales of Elsinore by Emily Wynne. A statue with flaking paint of a woman with teal hair wearing a short purple chiton dress and shawls is broken in various places, revealing multiple scenes of the woman depicted in the statue: she is walking alone in a cave, dancing with an unearthly radiance, embracing another woman, and standing on a dark shore before a wave surrounded by reeds. There is also a scene of a cat prowling among stones, and a ziggurat rising to the moon, the latter of which emerges from the statue's head.

Like SOMETHING HERE about this idea and the lineup suggestion feels like a very "democrats trying a 'how do you do fellow feminists'" situation let's click through and see what--

ah, a CEO and former dem congressional nominee, yes that tracks

Maybe I am wrong about the music business today - not my wheelhouse! - but I don't FEEL LIKE Taylor Swift for example faces a lot of obstacles in that regard??

The target generation of most of the artist choices here entirely aside!!
aemiliavind.bsky.social
Now I know a thing or two about Lilith Fair, and I feel like part of the point of Lilith Fair was that women artists faced a lot of obstacles to play especially when billed together and it was to get them better exposure and make a wider avenue for access to their music?

And liiiiike...

Gf and I were eating dinner and she fell asleep on me like a cat while watching tv, trapping me

Me: "What am I gonna do here"
Gf, muttering in her sleep: "Swim in the chocolate milk pool"

Writing friends, I need a venue that will consider a long short story (10k words), horror genre, trans and queer themes.

I made playlists for Tales of Elsinore and Princess of the Pomegranate Moon if you're into that sort of thing!

(Tales of Elsinore is already out, obviously, but is available now at the same link)

I made a playlist for Princess of the Pomegranate Moon, and COUSIN, I SURE DO also have a playlist for Tales of Elsinore (out this Friday August 22nd, preorder here: balance-of-seven.square.site/product/tale... )

So like a lot of folks, while I was writing and editing Princess of the Pomegranate Moon I made a playlist. Some of the songs are about mood and vibe, some are sorta related to the plot, some are about characterization, and a couple are more-or-less diegetic.

Anyway I wanted to share the playlist!
The cover of Princess of the Pomegranate Moon by Emily Wynne. A young woman floats as if falling in the center. She is wearing a short chiton-style dress in dark, luminous purple, a short dark blue/black jacket with a hood, a turquoise sash around her waist and draped around her arm, and black boots styled like caligae, but knee-high. Her face is serene and her ears slightly pointed, and her hair is teal and shaved around the left ear, falling behind her head as she drifts in the air. She is in front of a bright full moon surrounded by iridescent mists or nebulae, in front of a background of a deep blue and purple night sky filled with stars. Below is a grassy field of artificial mounds, each bearing a tall menacing purple-black spike. The central mound is surrounded by a ring of stones, and a path leads to a glowing door defined by standing stones in the face of the mound. Above is a golden, nine-tiered ziggurat, with steps leading to each level, flanked by towers and topped with a domed shrine.

Beside the cover on a background of trees silhouetted by a starry night sky is the first line:

"The season was uncertain, as it always was, but the stars and the angle of the sun showed it was late in the year, and a cool wind blew over the earth and rustled the sparse grass in the lands beyond the forest."

Mystical/goth/dreampop sometimes doom is DEFINITELY in my wheelhouse!

I like a buncha kinda of music and made playlists for Pomegranate and ToE with a lot of things including ambient experimental goth, noisepop, doom metal, folk etc etc
aemiliavind.bsky.social
I'd definitely prefer that but ANYTHING is better than whatever nothing she has going on as printed
aemiliavind.bsky.social
Probably that's it! One time I looked up the original comic and it wasn't there either and I was like, what is going on
aemiliavind.bsky.social
Every time I see this panel and she isn't smoking I feel like I'm a toon hearing someone play "shave and a hair cut" but unable to complete it with "two bits"
aemiliavind.bsky.social
This panel always drives me absolutely out of my mind with frustration because the blonde girl in glasses is CLEARLY drawn to be smoking a cigarette but there isn't one!!
