Streaming is the madness rune, Unfair Flips is just the catalyst. NL gets attention for becoming self-aware, but addictive feedback loops don't care what the triggering behavior is or whether you're aware of them.

If you could guarantee equal rights for everyone, but we had to live without mobile phones, the Internet, and supermarkets... would you?

Version 0.6 of Eat God is now up. These changes went live yesterday with the Kickstarter announcement, but owing to their large scope, the full changelog was deferred to a separate post; this is that post. You can find the full list of changes at the link below.

29% is grassland pasture and range, meaning relatively flat land we're using to raise livestock, largely cattle. So we could have an acre and a half if we gave up food animals. If we didn't? We only got 67.8 million acres for 400 million folks. Our housing crisis is actually our meat crisis.

So we've got 2.26 billion acres... BUT we're using 28% for forest, 17% for crops, and 23% is special use or not-very-livable (tundra, wetland, etc.), which leaves, uh, 753 million acres for a population of 400 million. So sure, we can each have an acre and a half... EXCEPT

The American Dream is predicated on an endless expanse of land to accommodate a single-family house on a quarter acre of land for every American who wants one, which is presumably everyone. How much of this can USA's continental landmass support?

If Weapons had spent less time building to jumpscares and more time fleshing out its plot, it could've been a contender for a thriller that sticks with you well past the ending credits.

Gettem. At least it won't happen to Hrssuss Rtututu, because of the disclaimer. Hrssuss doesn't deserve that. Hrssuss deserves his own comic, actually

When "jobs" is your main metric for measuring the success of your economy, the most successful economic strategy is to slice every full-time bill-paying "job" into a half-dozen part-time soul-sucking "jobs".

"A New Sexual Identity Emerges" is the most dramatic unveiling of something that has always existed and I'm going to do it for everything now. Just bellowing "Not Milk. Not Ice. A New Amalgamated Frozen Treat Emerges" from my ice cream truck

happy birthday to bill watterson who gave me the gift of encapsulating my entire ethical approach in one comic panel.
A panel from a Calvin and Hobbes comic. Calvin's mom, eating dinner, says "Life could be worse, Calvin." Calvin, clearly upset, his mouth huge says "Life could be a lot BETTER too!"

At least you'll be able to watch Fullest House when he's old enough to appreciate the multiple layers of puns but too young to notice how Danny Tanner never physically touches his grown children

Take a listen and seriously consider it. While this is not an uncommon practice, I am glad people are beginning to speak up about it.

Hide and seek was more fun for me than the average kid. Like, a LOT. Finding a hiding spot where nobody would ever, ever find me. Watching, silent, as my pursuers search in vain. I still get a twinge of pride when I accidentally sneak up on someone. I'm no thief but my default mode is sneak.
