Surprise of the year - women in their 30s keep complimenting my hair the longer it gets. Apparently the grey streaks are powerful?

Quaffing a month's wage worth of mid champagne and making charming smalltalk all night to smooth things over while nepo cis men close million dollar contracts: am I a 19th century European princess or the sole female cloud engineer in a tech company?

Oh, no. I've hit that age where I'm one of the grumps complaining about accessibility at pretty much every event I go to. Professional events in particular baffle me that they get this wrong.

Netsky after playing some amazing DnB flips of 90s and early 00s tunes: "if you loved all those, congrats, you're going on 50."

I don't think any one album has grown on me like Above & Beyond's Bigger Than All Of Us. Every time I listen all the way through I realize each song speaks so closely to how I experience love and connection. I want to love even more, even when it hurts. I want to be a part of whatever this is.

The quality of house music is directly proportional to how much piano is in it.

Every now and then it is lovely to get to be a pillow princess. As a treat.

Well, tens of millions of Americans are going hungry and tens of millions of Americans are losing their health care, but it's all been worth it to ensure transgender citizens can't get passports.

Just bought a 2 year supply of syringes and needles for the same price as I normally pay for 2 months from my pharmacy from . . . a veterinary supplier. Same *exact* brand and SKU. Healthcare is where good logic goes to die.

It's good luck if the spotify station at the café plays Jamiroquai out of left field.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court will allow the Trump administration to enforce its anti-trans and anti-nonbinary passport policy during litigation.

The unsigned, four-paragraph order effectively reverses two lower-court decisions. The Democratic appointees dissent.

Nothing breaks the immersion of a story for me quite like a character struggling with internalized CompHet. I'll believe in magic and aliens, and I know it's a lived experience for some gals, but feeling guilt about liking beautiful women? Unfathomable!

okay, Commander T'Ana might be my new favourite Trek character ever. 😽

The discourse around voting in local elections in Seattle is sometimes depressing and sometimes amazing. Today is the latter thanks to this out-of-context gem:

raving after your twenties:

dancing for 7 hours and then walking home across town because the trains don't go that late is indistinguishable from spraining both ankles. 😂

Say what you will about their prices and leadership, but Insomniac throw amazing events. Finally some real fucking bass! 😍

I think my new favourite thing ever is still doing sleep calls with long distance partners even when they or I have other partners over. What could possibly make a date better than more girls? :3

The second movement of Thomas Adès's Mazurkas is basically black midi on a real piano, holy fluff. And the third movement is just so . . . augh!

It's really cruel that evolution didn't make crying a replacement for sleep, if my brain is so convinced it should do one when I need the other.
