The Grumps Halloween episode was very drawable, so here's a doodle of a Tintin side character, The Wizard™, and the Ninja family. #TheGrumps

Also went and made a Kestrel in No Man's Sky while I was at it.

I was trying to remember the first US-built fighter plane the other day and got this gem. Then I tried to be more specific and if anything it got worse.

I like No Man's Sky, and the corvettes were added while I was already on an FTL kick. So I prototyped a Federation Cruiser in creative mode. Good times, and I hope more parts get added. =)

Also influenced No Man's Sky, it seems. Noticed these first on my corvette, and am seeing them in earlier locations now that I'm looking more.

Next FTL: Faster than Light ship I've done a take on: the Federation Scout. This model isn't as detailed as the hero ship, but I still wanted to give it its own scene. Here a trio of scouts chase Rebel drones out of an asteroid field to protect a hidden base.

Been getting back into Blender, and here's one result: my take on the Kestrel from the 2012 game FTL: Faster than Light.
The Kestrel is the only 3D element, everything else is painted in CSP. The Rebel ships are edited sprites from the game.

Hm. If it's too scale, it'd also be too big for Hellas, I think...

A recent favorite, Yachiyo, a robot running a hotel for hundreds of years after humans have left Earth.

Illustration based from a few years ago based on Kelt-9b, a gas giant orbiting so close to its star the atmosphere is stripped away by solar winds. Featured in "Envisioning Exoplanets" by Michael Carroll. #spaceart

Meanwhile in Shetland...

Something a bit different from my other space art, a scene with aliens in a market place looking at a communal news display of potentially habitable planets found by a new array of telescopes launched around their home star system.

Fan art from 2022: The Magnificent Kotobuki is pretty much an airplane western with a dash of sci-fi, so it's as good a reason as any to paint airplanes and wormholes all in one. ✈️

And wormholes are just as bending to the mind to draw as they are to light. Oo

#spaceart from last year, a study into what Jupiter's Great Red Spot might look like from a view just outside of it. Here we're in a trough between where it rises above lower cloud decks and the adjacent storm bands.

Been quite a few "creature" grumps over the years. 🤔

Eh, let's post some old #GameGrumps as various creatures.

"Staring at the Sun", a painting I did a while back of a trio of tidally locked worlds around a red dwarf star. Also included is early study based on simulations done at KU Leuven in 2015.

Still settling in, seeing what I think of social media in general, but more importantly I've had the red planet on the mind. So here's some retouched fan art from Aria, an anime set on a very successfully terraformed Aqua, née Mars.

Alrighty, first post while I take a look around... How about the Galilean Hiking series, showing a pair of astronauts exploring the major moons of Jupiter?
