they’re *godawful* pets, these people have never convinced me this the steadfast desire for a fox isn’t just main character syndrome

I asked a domestic fox advocate why they couldn’t adopt a dog breed that has some foxy qualities instead and their response was basically “well i don’t like the aesthetics. so i need to have a fox” just entirely superficial

people always bring up dogs like that wasn’t ~30,000 years ago. i think there were some adverse effects to developing agriculture too but that ship’s sailed man

you don’t understand we HAVE to subject another species to decades of selective breeding/culling cycles for the purpose of having a quirky housepet someday. it HAS to start.

there is a rare but tenacious subset of people on tumblr who are probably not doing well and post about alternate dimensions and adrenochrome and shit and it’s better to just leave them be
