Spent time with a good friend in a beautiful wooded cemetery with a lovely mausoleum complex. Saw deer quietly doing their deer thing, ogled the Tiffany windows in the mausoleum complex, talked about serious stuff and trivia.

Some of the many dogs available for adoption at the PAWS Angels with Tails today. These are probably all taken, but there are so many wonderful dogs at shelters all over.

I love how the bottom one almost looks like bird feathers or moth wings.

Cats in the courtyard of the #Istanbul Archaeology Museum. I paid homage in the form of treats, which were found acceptable.

#Cat outside the Rumi Center in #Istanbul, possibly contemplating the divine. Depending on how you see it, the cat is featuring a goofy smile on its back or has slightly mis-matched angel wings.

A #cat in #Istanbul snoozing in the sun. The cats own the city, the humans are just there to provide for their needs.

#Istanbul is my top recommendation for cat lovers. The cats own the city, the humans are just there to pet and provide food.

Pet one cat and then wait for the others to demand their share. They really are community cats.

A cat ready to accept offerings at the fascinating prehistoric site of Tarxien, in Malta.

BTW, I recommend Malta to anybody who likes prehistoric sites. So many mysteries about those civilizations.

What happens in Istanbul when you start to pet one cat. The whole crew shows up for scritches.

Swans visiting the Lincoln Park lagoon.

A typo made me wonder if we should indicate the relative size of bodies of water by increasing the number of vowels. A lagoon is on the small side, but a lagooooon is impressive.

Bromeliad in the Lincoln Park Conservatory.

I can't see a bromeliad, even one without frogs, without thinking about the #TerryPratchett quote from Wings or the @xkcd.com comic.
