Rob Reiner either made your favorite movie, or made somebody you know’s favorite movie. If you’re a Californian, he’s also part of the reason you or your friends can get married. He has changed more lives for the better than this asshole commenting on him ever did.

Rob Reiner: I'm going to make a coming of age drama, a fantasy adventure story, a romantic comedy, a psychological horror and then a courtroom drama.

Us: Across your entire career?

Reiner: In a 6 year period.

Us: That sounds-

Reiner: -Each one will be arguably the best movie in that genre.

Anthony Geary also died yesterday. He was best known generally for being on General Hospital, but he was best known to me for being in UHF.

One of my all-time favorite clips of Rob Reiner, from his Friars Club Roast in 2000, as he reads aloud Roger Ebert's infamous scathing review of his movie North. The man had an amazing sense of humor about himself. RIP.

We’re crushed to hear of the tragic death of Rob Reiner and his wife Michele. In his wide-ranging filmmaking career, Mr. Reiner made an indelible mark on the horror genre with his 1990 film MISERY. We mourn his passing and send our condolences to his loved ones.

RIP to Rob Reiner and his wife. Reiner was one of the masters of the crowd pleaser, crafting the kind of films that are somehow both rare to see in contemporary cinemas and yet endlessly copied. This is such a brutal and tragic loss.

I'll have something to say about Rob and Michelle Reiner in the morning on Vulture, but nothing tonight. It's a tragedy on so many levels. Including political and cultural. I can barely process it.

Rob Reiner made some great movies but he was also unafraid to speak the truth, and was one of the public voices who knew you don’t squander your platform, and only got louder about opposing evil fucks as he got older. Legend.

When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

All media mergers end up hurting writers, actors, directors, and everyone else who works in the industry. Executives, assistants, caterers, teamsters, everyone. Fewer companies means fewer jobs, period.

I made a movie! And you can buy it on blu-ray! Right now!!

HELL HATH NO FURY is a dark screwball comedy (think CLUE or ARSENIC AND OLD LACE) about a husband & wife who unknowingly plot to murder each other on the same night! Hijinks ensue!!!

PLUS it’s a Christmas movie!!!!!

It’s also streaming!!!
Hell Hath No Fury
Till murder do us part. A married couple separately and unknowingly plan to murder each other on the same fateful night. Their simple plan sets the stage for a December night where both Silas and Priscilla unknowingly turn to murder and where everything that can go wrong does. Set against the backdrop of a suburban house neatly adorned by Christmas decor and a beautifully prepared dinner for two, the night takes a deadly turn.

My movie Hell Hath No Fury was released just over a year ago and what better way to celebrate than to get a bunch of friends together and watch it on the BIG SCREEN!!!

Okie friends, join us Dec 5th 7pm at OFX and let’s kick off the holidays with what one reviewer called a “muder comedy of errors” 😎

Camera movement has existed longer than we might think, with pans becoming common in the 1900s.

Early filmmakers also simulated movement. This 1908 fairy tale THE GRATEFUL LITTLE MICE gives the illusion of a zoom by pulling the performers and prop book toward the camera. It's nearly seamless.

FRANKENSTEIN is on NETFLIX but- still in many theatres- please consult your local listings and choose your watch/rewatch preference!
Where do I even begin? Guillermo del Toro @realgdt.bsky.social has created an absolute masterpiece. I only wish I’d had the chance to experience it on the big screen. The story of Frankenstein has been told countless times, but never like this.
