I have a Twitter account to track sports news and I've been checking it a lot with the recent Utah coaching changes. The feed is filling up with bizarre geopolitical takes fed through an algorithm that seems interested only in showing discord.
Need to get more sports on Bluesky to avoid that.

I met Joe Ingles at a 7-Eleven in the Avenues neighborhood of Salt Lake City. At least, I think I did. I held the door open for a guy in sweats who seemed so normal that even the fact he was 6'8" and spoke with an Australian accent didn't register as unusual to me until a few minutes later.

Orson Scott Card, specifically the Shadow series. Books like Ender's Game and Speaker for the Dead seem antithetical to his real-life views, but the Shadow books are a straight-up neocon power fantasy that ruins most of the female characters from Ender's Game... and they're still quite enjoyable.
Here’s a question: who is the artist with politics you disagree strongly with, whose politics *do* (in your view) influence their art, that you still think is talented and whose work you enjoy?
