Christie / GAD nerd and TV producer. Profile pic is probably the book I’m currently reading. Described both as “wonderfully niche” and “a good human”. Kingston to Bristol via Hanwell, please.
Neil Breen is back!!! It’s going to be an amazing 2026. m.youtube.com/watch?v=o0DG...

I’ve just found out that the main set from the movie Clue was bought by the producers of Dynasty to be the interior of Denver’s most exclusive hotel, The Carlton.

I remember a spirited debate a while back about which movie director had the best run of 5 films at the very start of their career. And various people were offered and debated and rejected before someone mentioned a name that made everyone stop.

So I was checking out an address for friends who have moved to a newish estate... and all the names of the streets are tv detectives.

Getting teargassed during Interview With The Vampire is probably one of mine.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

Happy #Wolfenoot to all who celebrate. We’re having our first slow cooker stew of the season and will be howling at the moon soon afterwards.

Who needs to pay for billboards at football when you can advertise books by sticking the logo on your hat and sitting behind the ref’s VAR monitor?

The Britpop / Agatha Christie mashup we never knew we needed (cc: @markaldridge.info @bertsbooks.bsky.social)
The BBC are accidentally running the subtitles to Mrs Marple over the Mercury Prize, and it’s rather wonderful. A few of lines could plausibly have been written by Jarvis.

I don’t want to brag, but I’ve seen the entire Left Behind trilogy so I feel like I’m as prepared as I can be.

Nobody puts the bop in the bop shoo bop shoo bop anymore and that's sad.
Nobody waves their hands in the air like they don't care anymore and that's sad.
Nobody wears chimneys on their head anymore and that's sad

My biggest achievement?

I was once charged 5p per packet of Panini football stickers instead of 10p. I used the change to buy more packets but was terrified that the newsagent would realise their mistake during the second transaction.
My biggest achievement?

I once found a blue plastic square with a fiver in it in a packet of walkers ready salted crisps.
My biggest achievement?

I once got a Kit Kat that was only chocolate. No biscuit.
