Another incarcerated person was brutally slain by prison guards in a facility just across the street from Marcy Prison, where guards murdered Robert Brooks. Guards even made incarcerated people clean up the blood. The incarcerated people are the ones who are not safe.

Nine prisoners interviewed by @nytimes.com on Sunday, 7 of whom agreed to have their names used, said the inmate had been brutally beaten by corrections officers. Their accounts could not be independently confirmed, and Thomas Mailey, a prisons spokesman, said the death was under investigation.
