Yep and that's why I'm still using W10 with a local user acct, not a Microsoft account. Took about a thousand times saying no to thr "free W11 Upgrade!" notifications but the pestering finally seems to have stopped. Still seriously considering switching to linux

On 9/11 I was a sophomore & my boyfriend was a senior. We had long convos about how the Patriot act was going to end actual freedom in the US, especially how cell phone tech & the internet would continue to get more sophisticated but would be watched and controlled. The kids definitely aren't dumb.

I just picked up an 03 Tacoma earlier this year with less than 130k, almost perfect condition, one previous owner and every service record in its lifespan. I'm pushing 40 and I hope my truck outlives me.

Ditto for my 00s Tacoma. It has less than 150k on it and I hope to drive it for the next 20+ years.

I'm starting to think the internet & cell phone tech shouldn't have advanced past about 2007. Imagine how different the world would be now if the furthest we went w/ social media was kids learning HTML so they could customize their Myspace page, and those slider cell phones with the full keyboard.

I think the west coast will be the first to go. We could probably make a go of it as our own medium country. Between Cali, Oregon and Washington we would have about the same population as all of Spain and half of Portugal.
