There likely wouldn’t be this much attention on the subject had CBS (Bari Weiss) not pulled the episode. Which, whilst giving us a glimpse into how reactionary we as a society have become, really speaks to how free speech exists to protect the public interest, not despite the public interest.

What makes the NBA so unwatchable these days? It just isn’t fun to watch anymore. No defense, same 3-point-heavy offense every night, stars sitting out for “load management,” endless reviews and zero real rivalries. Maybe I’m just nostalgic for the good ol’ days, but this sport is missing its soul.
