No one cares but us, and now we're starting not to care either. There are other ideas + another world, but after 6 books it'd be crazy to abandon AIFAMS for a less developed concept.

At least Safir had already seen a jinn possession. Rober was a failure, both as an antagonist and as an ally. The creepy Hunter + Antara duo should’ve had more screentime. Also, the series did a lousy job juggling the supernatural plot and the immigrants vs locals plot.

After learning Carmen's backstory, we don't get why the series made Sonia the focus. Carmen being forced to work with Safir would’ve been more interesting than the least eventful supernatural pregnancy ever. Father Ángel didn't freak out nearly enough considering what was going on.

I'm beginning to wonder if the people who complained about Down There were Satanists upset at how icky + crazy Huysmans made them look. People used to find them scary + sensual and after this everyone started thinking they ate butt wafers. Major downgrade.

Huysmans also didn't hold back on the gruesome details about Gilles de Rais. I already knew some things about the accusations, but he added more stuff. Something else he keeps adding? Fun facts about church bells. I don't mind that, but it feels random.

Even if Huysmans never actually confirms it, I choose to believe that it's all part of an attempt by the Satanists to mess with Durtal. Why, I don't know (maybe boredom?), but it's the only thing that makes sense. Next chapter is the Black Mass and I'm kinda dreading all the gross descriptions.

This ends up feeling more like Katherine's movie, even if the focus is clearly on Angela + Victor. I really don't get what was the point of the double possession. The girls are kept apart until the exorcism and the choice was introduced too late + the result was very easy to guess.

Adding more stuff to the exorcism only made it look messy + unfocused. Possessed Katherine vs. Chris McNeil was one of the few highlights of the movie, but her return is mostly wasted as she barely interacts with the demon, who, BTW, isn't even named. The choice twist was so predictable.🙄

Both Elektra and Kirigi's powers were all over the place. As for the others, tattoo guy had terrible taste. The eagle was good for spying, but only a wolf, snakes, and a spider? How about a fire-breathing dragon or a tiger? A hippo would’ve been good too; they're scary. What a crappy movie.

Mark wasn't any better. He tells Elektra he knew she was there to kill them the moment she rented the house, but he didn't run. What did he think was going to happen? This makes the Hand look like a bunch of ineffectual idiots. How could those 2 have got away from the evil ninjas?
