For this first episode the voice sounded a little bit flat. Then I listened to another episode (about the new research on social media and mental health) and mostly got used to it (or there the tone was improved).

As I observed it with listening to NYT articles, I think it shows if a text is intented to be read in the first place (not a script), or is not a podcast where people just talk. It's just more dense. Anyhow, I'm very glad that for the first time since the Substack days, we have the audio version.
