Okay I finished Sentinel’s story. I rly liked it, it’s a real improvement from 2.8
It’s truly a companion to the main story, perhaps too much so in certain aspects. I think some details were too necessary to make sense of the main plot, but R1999 has always been like that so whatever lol

One thing I dig about 3.0 is the amount of NPCs introduced. Not only does it really fleshes out the plot but it offers a lot more opportunities for them to build up the plot across patches, the lack of which was the main flaw of 2.x imo.

2h into 3.7. I did really like Mem’s backstory, as always it’s really not told in the clearest possible way but I do think Cyrene’s story is genuinely touching. I know people take issue with the way she was introduced into the plot, but taken at face value she’s a really poignant character.

my brain is too mushy to continue 3.7, however I can say that I’m not liking their storytelling any better so far, the introduction was mostly yapping about abstract concepts I feel like we’ve already heard about 100 times. I get that repetition is a theme but it gets to a point
