2h into 3.7. I did really like Mem’s backstory, as always it’s really not told in the clearest possible way but I do think Cyrene’s story is genuinely touching. I know people take issue with the way she was introduced into the plot, but taken at face value she’s a really poignant character.

my brain is too mushy to continue 3.7, however I can say that I’m not liking their storytelling any better so far, the introduction was mostly yapping about abstract concepts I feel like we’ve already heard about 100 times. I get that repetition is a theme but it gets to a point

Okay I’m done with 3.0
I think the plot ended up being the weakest part, but the character work was gripping enough to make up for it in my opinion.
I do think some of themes end up being a Little too surface level because of this unevenness but it’s still miles better than last chapter imo.
