Not unlike those families who lost children to chatbots or had children groomed online, there are absolute ghouls out there who are using the real pain and harm of others to push legislation that would only hurt people more, because it plays off of our fears

"protect the women and children!" Legislstion will only make victims and minors less safe, with fewer resources to advocate for themselves, and anti-sex-work ideology leads to the kind of abuse these women and children faced.

This is what i mean by the post below. People are (JUSTIFIABLY) angry and afraid, and there are bad actors who want to take advantage of that in order to push regressive, reactionary legislation that will only hurt marginalized groups.
