WSJ: President Trump believed his Truth Social post demanding prosecutions of James Comey and other political foes was a private message to his attorney general, and "and was surprised to learn it was public."

It's just a spat between billionaires. One trying to burn democracy to the ground, the other standing up for basic rule of law norms.

One saying "don't shoot my citizens" while the other says "I'll lock you in prison for no reason at all."

Some light repartee. A scuffle. Tiff. Donnybrook.

The research “‘calls into question the idea that younger individuals & those w/o risk factors don’t need the vaccine,’ Viswanathan says.
Instead the data show that, while the shot is most effective for older individuals & those w/ comorbidities, ‘it was also protective in those w/o risk factors’”🛟🧪

(a) anything posted online re the itinerary?
(b) if no, data subject access request to the airline; when were they contacted re your reservation and how did the convo go? (this may not work, enforcement is spotty so their processes are bad but it's worth trying.)

“Someone” cancelled my family’s flight out of the country at the last second.

We got our boarding passes. We checked our bags. Went through security. Then at our gate our reservation ‘disappeared.’

Trump has been illegally bombing boats off the coast of Venezuela.

Tim Kaine and Adam Schiff forced a vote on reasserting Congress's role over war powers and ending this reckless
warmongering.

It failed 48-51.

Murkowski and Paul voted yes.

Fetterman voted no.

Bray is a historian at Rutgers who received death threats after landing on Turning Points USA's Professor Watchlist. As a result, he announced he was moving to Europe. And then this happened.

This kind of harassment and abuse of scholars is Charlie Kirk's legacy and it's only getting worse.

Everyone can set aside partisanship, psychologizing, pathologizing, whatever, and—I would hope—still see that it’s incredibly dangerous for a political leader to be this disconnected from the real conditions in the country.

Genuine question: When Trump describes the bombed out hellscapes of Portland and Chicago, has any reporter followed up to ask him specifically what images he has seen and where he saw them?

While the Trump administration hides the Epstein files, another cover-up is unfolding—this time around Trump border czar Tom Homan. Todd Beeton examines the scandal. Plus, Amelia Mavis-Christnot traces the legacy of Wounded Knee, and Jay Kuo explores how fear still shapes American politics.
This Week In The Big Picture
While the Trump administration continues its cover-up of the Epstein files, Trump world is currently engaged in yet another cover-up, which has gotten less attention.

As I told @josephcox.bsky.social for this piece, if DHS is concerned that the actions of their own officers might inflame public opinion against the agency, they should work to increase oversight and accountability at the agency — rather than seek to have the evidence banned.

New: Apple banned an app that simply archived videos of ICE abuses. Rather than other apps that record ICE official's real-time location, Eyes Up is to "preserve evidence until it can be used in court." Videos from TikTok etc. Every submission manually reviewed
