I saw a post from someone this weekend saying they couldn’t search for <search term> without finding a load of hate posts, and saying ‘this place is becoming just like X’.

I thought “how awful” and searched <search term> to see what they meant.

Couldn’t find any hate in any search results.

I was so proud when I came home to find my teenage daughter watching Love Actually, and before I could question her viewing choice she unleashed a fantastic stream of obscenity and scorn about every aspect of the film that Malcolm Tucker could have learned from.

Contrast at the last Remembrance parade I was at - various neatly-dressed folk marched smartly up to the memorial, laid wreaths, snapped salutes. Then came a guy in a casual jacket, no tie, no medals…beige beret. Put his (winged dagger) wreath down, paused a moment, nodded, walked off.

Teenage colleague is applying for various jobs atm. Another applicant to one job was using AI to generate answers, including to “What is your dream destination?”
