You’ve found the platonic ideal Cork man.

Drinks four pints of milk with a hape of Wexford queens. He’s never been further north than Thurles, and has a massive tattoo of Christy Ring across his chest.

Yeas! That! what the fuck does Glinner think the Digital Services Act (enacted in 2024) had to do with the “debate” over the Gender Recognition Act (2015)?

Like, does he think the EU is so efficient that its legislation is capable of defying the space time continuum?

there was massive support across the political spectrum and aside from the usual small handful of reactionary bigots the only criticism was, as you say, it wasn’t progressive enough in certain areas.

And, I hate to give them credit but TBF to FF/FG they maintain their ground on the issue, so far…

C) *All* of the Yes campaigns on the SSM referendum publically supported the GRA.

D) A collection of trans rights groups *led* the Dublin Pride parade a few weeks after the referendum passed in recognition of the widespread *public* support the GRA had...

Hell, Willie O'Dea was in favour of it!

Fun fact: I wrote a paper in college examining the media coverage of the GRA in the six months leading up to its publication.

A) Plenty of media coverage of nuanced debate.
B) The Government delayed the passing of the bill to avoid public confusion with the referendum on SSM...

The other witness was Lorcan Price, a barrister and former member of the Fianna Fáil national executive. Price is the lead legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) International in Brussels. The @splcenter.org has classified its parent organisation as a hate group.
Why is Alliance Defending Freedom a Hate Group?
The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) first listed Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) as an anti-LGBTQ hate group in 2016.

Expecting your former coworkers and colleagues to give their unwavering and unstinted support for your own personal politics and bigotry, two decades after you worked together, is objectively normal behaviour.
