The cottage was a character-driven choice. She's a former pirate and a Captain in the Maelstrom, so it had to be Limsa, housing competition on Mateus be damned. (I got lucky, thank the Twelve!)
Her home point changes based on whatever city I'm visiting the most that isn't Limsa or Kugane.
