The Right doesn’t take orders from the NYT, or respect its opinions, but is happy to use the NYT as “nonpartisan” bullets in its weapons. Transphobic liberals, however, *do* take a lot of guidance from the NYT, and heed its reporting on the subject. It’s an arms-dealer to some, commander to others.
