That’s just the top of my head. Most of my advice is based on my work in Florida but generally relevant for IL or elsewhere. But I’m sure IL Extension has some great guidance, too!

…appropriately if you are done with it and have leftover meds (this often means taking it to a pharmacy or local law enforcement). Only the three p’s down the toilet: pee, poop and paper. Don’t flush anything else. Other things that we deal with in Florida a lot are related to storm water mgmt.

Do you have a lawn? If yes, grow plants the don’t require a ton of inputs (eg irrigation, fertilizer). This often includes native plants, which is also great for protecting/enhancing biodiversity. Have a car? Make sure it’s not leaking oil. Taking a prescription? Use as prescribed and dispose of…

And this was after an overall like 30h series of flights (Brisbane->Vancouver->Toronto->Orlando)

…We landed at 11pm in Orlando. We finally got home (in GNV) at 7am. With an 18 month old and a 5 year old.

Return flight: Brisbane -> Orlando with an 18 month old and a 5 year old, ending with our luggage being stuck in the conveyor belt for 3h and the rental car company (that we use for the final 2h drive home) not having a vehicle large enough for all of our bags despite our reservation…
