The whole thing is kind of a mess to “translate”. Most would agreed National Socialist doesn’t represent Socalist well, but then some think Antifa definitively means Antifascism. Then there was a “center” party, who were really Catholic Monarchists which most today wouldn’t consider “Centrists”

Yeah, you could get into trying to split the difference between “Socialist” and “Social Democrat” for better accuracy; but it’s still probably more accurate than some people referring to SPD as “the Liberals” (derogatory) as needed.

I almost deleted this because even I’m getting sick of making these kind of posts and don’t love “always having to defend these people” I don’t even like that much.
