2025 in retrospect
2025 was, as all years are, an imperfect year. My main way of describing it has been as “plain white rice, no butter on the side.” Folks have asked me if that means the year was bad, but no. It just means it was simple. Easily digestible. Without frill or feature.

I need to make animation memes for the fandoms I’m in… i love animation memes…
I drew a lot, improved at rendering, and got better at colouring. I also got better at photography. And, my crowning achievement, I wrote two chapters of a story I’ve been writing for a few years now, which may not seem like much but typically I write zero chapters per year.

I drew a lot, improved at rendering, and got better at colouring. I also got better at photography. And, my crowning achievement, I wrote two chapters of a story I’ve been writing for a few years now, which may not seem like much but typically I write zero chapters per year.

The previous iteration of me was very weak-willed and soft. Very afraid. This gave people the impression that I was the sort they could mistreat. Now, though, I have changed, and feel no fear in burning bridges if it means protecting myself.

Bluesky is so peaceful, and I think that’s one of the reasons I don’t use it a whole lot. I’ve always been the sort to engage in unnecessary discourse online, as I am seemingly just hardwired to hate. It is a shame. Perhaps one day I’ll be better about this.
