I've been thinking about this question a great deal since it was asked. Gaiman...well, I was disappointed but not entirely surprised due to Reasons. But the *extent* of it did shock & horrify me. Ellis I had thought was just kind of irascible, and I love Planetary, GF etc, so much.

I hate that show so much b/c in the bending over backwards to emphasize just how Not Queer the characters are, they set up plotlines and character interactions that feel SO glaringly inauthentic, even to the characters themselves.

True. But one thing I loved was also that at the time Adventure comics were all stories featuring not just Supergirl as the headliner, but Black Canary, Enchantress, Rose & Thorn, and other heroines. It was ALL about the girls! IIRC, Black Orchid was the back up in the Phantom Stranger comic too

I have to admit I am quite partial to the Mod version of Diana Prince. That was from the same era that Supergirl was also switching out costumes every few issues. I was SO into those!

It's a very wrong shade for her. I love pink probably more than anyone save for Barbie & Jem, but it looks very wrong and "off" from the rest of the face. Heavy cheek make-up is iffy. A blurred classic red lipstick with blue tones could work.
