It is really grating to hear the wonderful Edwyn Collins sing „She‘s my raison d‘être, exetra exetra“ on the also wonderful Orange Juice song „Bury My Head In My Hands“. I wish I were more relaxed about it. I also wish Peter Cetera had a brother called „Edwyn“.

Thank you so much! It is really of absolutely no importance but still annoying as fuck. „Two expressos exetera…“

Personally 1987 and 2008 were probably worse. But, hell, the state of it all. Objectively 2025 was probably the worst year since I was born. And it looks very much like the worst is yet to come.

You are absolutely right. I need to be more positive ;) I discovered some really interesting new music while browsing your list.

So much good stuff I haven’t heard of, but should have.

Not a big fan of Bertolucci either. I suppose the film could have been much better, Paul Bowles‘ novel is a masterpiece. But the film is okay and Sakamoto‘s music is borderline perfect.

While I admit that that is probably the best and most natural reaction to the song, I have to admit I quite liked it. When it came out. And I was eleven. Their style is probably worse than the song. If possible.

Okay, haven’t seen that one, but it *sounds* quite obviously AI. But then again, you never know with these beasts… 😄

Damn now the educational aspect is gone with the video. Which one was it? In case I have come across it and taken it for real.

Tesla employees passed around photos of the insides of customers' garages, footage of what they were doing inside/near their cars. The cars were OFF at the time, a nude Tesla driver walking past their car in the privacy of their own garage became a Tesla office meme

"But we must compete with the oth-"

That's just it. You don't. You are THE public broadcaster. No other body shares your mission. Why add to the noise?

The BBC has an opportunity to say "you've heard all the breathless gossip - tune in at 6pm for the facts". To bring light rather than heat.

But I am still not convinced that the new amazonian Bond will work. Maybe I will just see it as a finished series that ended 2021. What comes after I might consider as homages. That would probably make it easier for me to enjoy them.

I have been (privately) arguing for a retro reboot for years. I enjoyed the Craig films, but a retro reboot would leave so much more creative freedom. And Bond is very much a product of a very specific era. A retro reboot could be fun.

I have questions starting with the headline. „The writers just revealed a twist that leaves them with a massive headache“. They just „revealed“ the twist at the end of the last movie (2021)? Hardly possible. They „revealed“ that it gives them a headache? Well, thank you, Captain Obvious…

Das ist noch okay. Ich bin auch ungefähr da. Vermutlich, weil ich temperamentsbedingt den Regler selten bis zum Anschlag aufgezogen habe. Der Bereich links vom Gelben scheint mir tolerierbar.
