Slow, uninformed opinions
Yes. People who've been secure doesn't understand the anguish and depression. Unemployment alone broke me. I can't imagine what people who are homeless and without family/societal support are going through.

He seems to be everywhere now!

Do you think a layman can grasp Rahner?

Maybe we should also begin refraining from pictorial depictions?

We'll get Judaism, Islam and probably most Protestants to soften towards us more.

And it's not like being a bit iconoclastic in a rupnik, kitsch, AI slop soaked world is bad.

I'm now beginning to think that AI companies should be made to pay money to community led projects like wikipedia. 95% of the responses are sourced from wiki on Gemini, deepseek, grok. Even without prompt directives, that's the default.

There should be some way for people to sue these companies.

Citing sources after lines/paragraphs is paramount.

Making the conversation impersonal, non casual, forcing it to call itself 'MACHINE', forcing it to always modify, 'I'm thinking' to 'MEM_SAVE', 'COMPUTING' etc

Even after all this it's not fully trustworthy.

It's like a search engine on steroids

I think American liberals would be served well to root American liberal liberation etc in the broader history and context of internationalism. It does not diminish America, if anything, it helps make her look better. She was never a singular protagonist of history.

How would distributism work in a cashless economy?

How would nomadic, independent professionals fit in a distributist economy?

I think it should be put on hold for a while.

And subs for different countries should be made. Like usacatholic, canadacatholic, italiancatholic, frenchcatholic...

All the region specific pathologies will be each one's own problem and contained in their own subs.

On paper a catholic sub should be good. But it just irritates me and pulls me down.

What kind of vigilance and standard is expected then !
